In ByPath, open Profile → API keys and create one. It is shown once — copy it straight away.

In ChatGPT or Claude, add a custom MCP connector. Address:

Straight answers
- Can the AI spend my money on its own?
- No. The only paid tool refuses to start without an explicit confirmation, and every run still goes through the plan limit, the daily wallet and the hard spending cap — the same guards as the cabinet.
- What does the key give away?
- Exactly what your own login gives: your setup, your signals, your runs. Nothing about other accounts. Revoke it any time and it stops working immediately.
- Which clients work?
- Anything that speaks MCP over HTTP — ChatGPT connectors, Claude, n8n, your own script. The endpoint is plain JSON-RPC, so a curl call works too.
- Does it post or message anyone?
- No. ByPath reads public posts and hands you a shortlist. Writing to people is still your decision and your words.
